ABOUT
Atana’s Aviation team serves airports, airlines, governments, investors and contractors with world-leading airport consultancy and engineering.
Our experts have a differentiated skill set and a proven track record for providing access to global aviation engineering expertise that’s appropriately tailored, in addition to a long-term strategic partnership with NACO.
That’s how this team meets strategic needs and provide technical implementation – delivering seamless management consulting and aviation engineering services that supersede either a management consultant or an aviation specialist.
More specifically, our aviation services extend from early-stage planning, design and operational/management advisory, through airside engineering, civil engineering, and electrical/electronic engineering, to digital engineering tooling, 3D modelling and BIM technology.
Known for using strategic and infrastructural solutions to help clients to tackle capacity-related, operational and financial challenges, we proudly deliver expertise in airport consultancy, feasibility studies, finance, master planning, functional planning and design, building design, construction, and maintenance, civil engineering, and special airport systems.

As the only road that crosses the summit of the Drakensberg Mountain range, Sani Pass’s steep switchbacks, loose gravel, and sudden weather changes meant local communities faced dangerous journeys to access schools, healthcare, and trade routes.
But after nearly two decades of 24/7 operation, its systems were well past their prime. Power systems, water supply, waste management and heating – all critical to survival in Antarctica – were in dire straits.
Calcium and magnesium build-up caused “hard water,” which began to solidify – and clog pipes.
Many roads and vehicles were in poor condition, and safe, reliable transport remained out of reach for thousands.
Atana supported both projects through project management and Clerk of Works services spanning planning, design, procurement, contract administration and construction monitoring.
Designed and delivered by Atana as the primary engineering consultant, the project combines sustainability, speed, and technical ingenuity.
