Chief Executive Officer, Director of Smart Mobility, Board Member Bongani Mthombeni Bongani Mthombeni is Chief Executive Officer of Atana, where she leads the business's strategic direction, growth, and operational performance. Drawing on extensive experience across engineering, infrastructure, and professional services, she combines enterprise leadership with a deep commitment to clients, people and technical excellence. She also serves as Director of Smart Mobility and as a member of the Atana Board. LEADERSHIP 01 / 09 > < Reach Out CFO Vidar Johannessen Vidar Johannessen provides experienced financial leadership, helping Atana to navigate multi-faceted market environments. His analytical approach ensures intelligent decision-making and safeguards organisational resilience. LEADERSHIP 02 / 09 > < Reach Out Director of Strategy & Commercial, Board Member Bonga Ntuli Bonga Ntuli leads Atana’s strategic and commercial direction with a deep understanding of the forces shaping African infrastructure. His leadership bridges the gap between client realities and innovative possibilities while, beyond project delivery, he empowers the next generation of engineers through active mentorship and STEM education advocacy. LEADERSHIP 03 / 09 > < Reach Out Director of Water Abimbola Sole Abimbola Sole leads Atana’s Water business with deep technical expertise and executive experience across strategy, governance and infrastructure delivery. As a professional engineer and long-serving ECSA Council Member, she champions sustainable water solutions, professional excellence and the development of resilient, inclusive communities. LEADERSHIP 04 / 09 > < Reach Out Director of People, Culture, & Communications Pat van Wyk Pat van Wyk builds thriving organisational cultures out of purpose, values and communication. Her broad portfolio includes leading people and culture, brand and communications, and corporate social responsibility. Her expertise ensures compliance and drives responsible growth through effective risk management. LEADERSHIP 06 / 09 > < Reach Out CTIO Sumeshin Naidoo Sumeshin Naidoo leverages engineering and technology to unlock smarter, faster and more scalable solutions. With over two decades of experience, he is known for leading multi-disciplinary teams and transforming business processes. LEADERSHIP 07 / 09 > < Reach Out Non-Executive Board Member Mamiki Matlawa Mamiki Matlawa is a strategic leader in energy, engineering and development. With 30 years of experience and a track record in executive leadership, she brings commercial insight and deep sector knowledge to Atana’s Board. LEADERSHIP 08 / 09 > < Reach Out Non-Executive Board Member and Board Chair Mshiyeni Belle Mshiyeni Belle holds a master’s degree in economics and a masters of business in finance and numerous certificates in central banking, management, and strategy. He is currently the chairperson of the Atana board. He guides and leads the board through his vast knowledge in strategy development, economic advice, financial analysis and corporate governance.
